![]() ![]() NOTE: Activation service for Final Draft 9 has been discontinued and this version of Final Draft is no longer activatable (or re-activatable) to run in full mode on any computer. Open the template and you'll be in a new document, pre-set to your specs. Once it's saved as a Template document in this folder, each time you go to File New from Template / Scripts, you'll see the template. ![]() Drag the template into the appropriate folder (Scripts or TV Templates).Go to Contents > Resources > Data > Templates.Hold down the Control key and click on the Final Draft 10 / 9 application icon.Save the template to your Desktop and quit Final Draft (Command + Q).Change the Format dropdown menu to Final Draft Template (.fdxt).If you don't want the script's SmartType lists to be included in the blank template, go to Document SmartType and click Rebuild for the Character and Location lists.If you want your new template to be blank, delete all the text from it (Command + A, then the Delete key) If you want any text to appear in the template, leave it.Go to File > Export and give the file a different name, just to be on the safe side. ![]() NOTE that this video shows Final Draft 9, but the process and the commands are the same in Final Draft 10. ![]()
